The Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to increasing regional and community awareness of those issues relating to colon and rectal cancer. Through the development of educational programming, working with regional officials to improve the channels for access to care, and entering into strategic private and public partnerships that will provide compassionate care to those burdened by the disease, GCCCF will fulfill its objective in educating our community that colon cancer is preventable, treatable, and beatable.
Each Spring we host our signature event, the Rump Run 5K and Fun Walk. This is GCCCF's largest fundraiser and typically has an estimated 700 people participate. For information on you can get involved with this event, please contact us.
GCCCF is involved in several health fairs around the Chattanooga area throughout the year. We are able to connect with many underinsured individuals at these events, providing them with information about the importance of colonoscopies, as well as connecting them with resources to obtain these life saving screenings. Health fairs will be listed on our website throughout the year; if you are able to volunteer at one of these events, please contact us. We love and appreciate our volunteers!
Currently we are also working on planning other small fundraisers for GCCCF, and planning community events to help raise awareness about colon cancer. Please check our Facebook page and website Events tab for updates.
